Yesterday I cooked Spicy cod steaks, pork chops and Burdok roots with carrot, and maize soup. Yesterday rice and food were mostly wiped out. I like that. When there were a lot of food left, I felt that it was wasted. After looking at one of the Channel 8 , I found there was still people who had no food to eat. Nowadays, children did not know hunger. I tried to find recipes on cod fish. I tried this....
SPICY COD STEAKS from City Gas
ingredients (serves 4)
2 large cod steaks
2 stalks lemon grass,white bulbs only, minced
2 red chilli, seeded and chopped
1 tbsp tomato sauce
2 tbsp corn starch
1 tsp cracked black pepper
salt to taste
Method:
- Rinse cod steaks and dry well.
- Mix cornstarch, black pepper and salt and dust cod steaks on both sides.
- Heat up a little oil in a frying pan and fry fish till crisp and light golden brown-about 4 minutes each side.
- Start frying pan again, and add chopped chilli and lemongrass. Fry till fragrant and add tomato sauce and just a little water. Cook till thickened slightly.
- Pour sauce over fish and serve hot.
